Brrr…..Not Wanting to Venture Outside?

With the cold, snow, and ice of the last few weeks, it’s hard to want to get outside and go anywhere! A comfy chair, cozy blanket, and hot drink are awfully inviting, but what if you’re running out of reading material, or just want a little inspiration to start something new? Did you know that books, audiobooks, and even magazines are available from the comfort of your home? All you need is your tablet, iPad, or phone, your library card number, your pin number (the last 4 digits of your phone number), and the Libby app! Just download the app in your app store on your device, and you can be enjoying a new read within minutes! Recently, while I was looking for decorating ideas and wanting a certain magazine, I looked into the magazines on the Libby app and was amazed at the hundreds of magazines available there, from here and around the world! While I still prefer a physical book or magazine, it’s so convenient to have so many available to browse. You can even subscribe and then be notified when the newest issue is available. It’s definitely worth a look!

If you have cabin fever and need to get out of the house, then come in for a visit to the library and browse some of the newest DVD and book releases! Roofman, CODA, Tron: Ares, and Wicked For Good are just a few of our newest DVDs. Or catch up on new book releases from popular authors with Dear Debbie (Freida McFadden), The Devil’s Daughter (Danielle Steel), Woman Down (Colleen Hoover), or 2(!) from James Patterson, Return of the Spider and The Invisible Woman. Or maybe try an author you’ve never read before–there are lots of new titles to browse! If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we can try to order it from another library for you.

If you need a “new” jigsaw puzzle to work at home, don’t forget about our Puzzle Swap the last Tuesday of the month. And you can always work on our 1,000 piece puzzle anytime you’re here!

Hope you’ve been safe and well this winter season, and we hope to see you soon!
