From the lights around town, to the first big snowfall of the season, it’s looking and feeling more like Christmas! And it won’t be long until Santa Claus once again visits the library to hear the Christmas wishes of local boys and girls! Santa will be here on Monday, Dec. 22 from 4-6 pm.
A new activity for kids in grades K through 5 begins Monday, December 8th from 5-6 pm–LEGO PLAY at the library. Come create something original with Library LEGOS. “Lego play enhances cognitive skills like problem-solving, spatial reasoning, and creativity, along with improved fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.” Call the library to register at 740-732-4506 (limited to 12 participants, but additional sessions will be added if needed).
Need some holiday inspiration? Check out our magazines, books, and movies for decorating ideas, new recipes to try, a cozy Christmas read or favorite movie to watch. Or share a book as a family–we have lots of children’s Christmas books to enjoy together during the season.
As a reminder, there will be no Puzzle Swap in December. The next one will be Tuesday, January 27, from 5-7 pm.
Take a little break from the busyness of the season–come in out of the cold and say hi, pick up a 2026 calendar, browse around or work on our puzzle. Relax for a minute and breathe. We appreciate all of you and hope you have a very merry Christmas and blessed & happy New Year!
